LESLEY BURNS - OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST, SANDTON
About Us
Lesley Burns is a Occupational Therapist situated in Johannesburg, Gauteng. She is a Therapist and a Business Woman. This makes her mission a simple one: to add real value to the lives of every person that she service, whether this be in the form of a once-off or ongoing service offering. It is her understanding of physical and mental wellbeing that best allows her to facilitate a more humane working culture – laying the foundations for shared understanding and respect. Many people feel unsure of how to best accommodate physical and mental illness, particularly as it pertains to reasonability and service delivery requirements. Having serviced the corporate industry since 1998, her unique experience allows her to provide deeply necessary insight into how to prioritise employee health and happiness, while maintaining sustainable levels of productivity.
While she has worked in functional capacity evaluation for over 25 years, mental illness has become a special focus of hers. She is passionate about sharing awareness and reducing stigma around this badly understood phenomenon, providing team’s with real solutions around this ever-increasing workplace challenge. When she is not doing all that, she is hanging out with her precious pups, riding her bike, and strumming her guitar!
