About Us
Our Story
Kiddies Aqua Swim School is the largest swimming school for infants, toddlers, young competitive swimmers and adults in South Africa. Kiddies Aqua Swimming Academy™ was established in 2011 by the current owners Lizette and Arrie Botha. They previously owned Aqua Kid Swim School in Nelspruit for more than 17.
Leslie-Ann’s journey with Kiddies Aqua began at a crèche where their swimming lessons sparked her interest. She reached out to inquire about becoming an instructor and initially joined in an admin role at the Montana Branch. By February 2023, she transitioned to a full-time position, managing accounts, databases, and client care. In late 2023, Leslie-Ann moved to the Moreleta Park Branch and later to the Tuks Branch as a Client Care Coordinator. Since February 2024, she has been undergoing inhouse instructor training with Lizette, combining her passion for children with her growing expertise. Leslie-Ann believes in lifelong learning and has pursued various educational
qualifications. She is currently working towards her Bachelor of Commerce degree at REGENT Business School. She holds a Higher Certificate in Pre- School Education, which she completed with top honours (Cum Laude) from STADIO Higher Education. Additionally, she has a certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from The TEFL Academy. Safety is her top priority and she is certified in Basic Life Support and First Aid Procedures Level 2.

Through all our various programmes we maintain a strong emphases on water safety and self-rescue. We make sure each child is highly competent in a specific phase or programme before moving him/her onto the next phase.
We follow a programme with a purpose and allow each child to progress according to his/her own ability.
Our instructors are all well-equipped and well-qualified in the fields of Human Movement Science, Childhood Psychology, Teaching, Sports Science and Kinderkinetics.
They also hold various national and international certificates in teaching swimming to Infants, Toddlers, Competitive Swimmers and Adults.
